Who we are

This Privacy Policy covers business.booknbook.africa and its country sites (including booknbook.rw, booknbook.ug, booknbook.co.tz and booknbook.ng), operated by booknbook Suite Ltd (Nairobi, Kenya) together with booknbook Ltd (London, United Kingdom). In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to booknbook.

Data we collect

When you submit a demo request, contact form or support ticket, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, country, restaurant or company name, and the content of your message. If you accept cookies, we also collect automatic analytics data about how you use the site (see our Cookie Policy for details). We do not collect this analytics data if you reject or have not yet accepted cookies.

How we use it

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, set up and support your account, and improve our product and this website. Where you have accepted cookies, we also use analytics data to understand how visitors use the site and, only with your consent, to show relevant advertising.

Legal basis

We process the information you submit through our forms on the basis of your consent and, where you become a customer, to perform our contract with you. We process analytics and advertising cookies only on the basis of your consent, given (or withheld) through the cookie banner.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run this site and our product, including Supabase (database and backend infrastructure), Google (analytics, where you have accepted cookies) and Meta (advertising measurement, where you have accepted cookies). We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside your country, including in the United Kingdom, the European Economic Area and the United States. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism recognised under applicable data protection law.

Retention

We keep the information you submit for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry or, if you become a customer, for the duration of our relationship plus any period required by law. Analytics data is retained according to the periods set out in our Cookie Policy.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to object to certain processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).

Children

Our site and services are intended for business use and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
